adequate stay, issues noted
impractical bathroom wet floor
the room felt smaller than advertised (it was supposedly a superior double room). the bathroom lacked practical features. there were no shelves for toiletries, and the open shower design meant water splashed everywhere. this made the bathroom floor constantly wet and a bit treacherous.

the breakfast had many options i enjoyed. i saw various local and international food choices. i liked the coffee cart with a guy serving drinks. camila at the front desk assisted me with storing luggage after travel.
the room i stayed in was a bit dated and lacked air conditioning, so i felt a bit stuffy at times.

the hotel is nearby the airport bus stop. it made the connection easy. the harbour is also close. shops and restaurants are within easy walking distance from the hotel.

Fantastic Hotel Experience
city view blackout curtains helpful staff modern decor
The room provided city views. It featured blackout curtains. The breakfast buffet included many options. I found the staff helpful when I asked for directions. They provided clear instructions to nearby attractions. Free coffee and tea were available in the downstairs lounge. I enjoyed this benefit . Rituals toiletries were provided. I appreciated the modern room decor. The room had good towels. The breakfast was amazing. The location was wonderful. I had a harbor view. The hotel's location near the old town was nice. The breakfast was also good. The price seemed reasonable. I found the room clean, and the bathroom was nice. Heavy shades in the room helped during the long summer days. The hotel offered a magical view of Bryggen and the harbor. Everything was well thought out. The breakfast was probably one of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had. The service was excellent.

decent stay with minor issues
harbour view breakfast variety fresh melon noisy hallway poor curtains warm room
i had a beautiful double room. it featured a good view of the harbour. breakfast included a great variety of dishes. i especially appreciated the fresh melon slices.
i found the hallways noisy. the dark curtains were poor and did not keep out the light. this made sleep difficult. the room was also very warm. the window only opened a fraction.

adequate stay. issues noted
cramped room inadequate lighting
the room felt quite cramped, and i found the lighting inadequate. it was difficult to get comfortable and do work in the space, especially in the evenings. the lack of natural light, and the provided lamps didn't do much to improve the situation. also, i didn't like the fact there was no one available to carry my bags. it wasn't great.

Decent Location, Noticeable Decline
small room shower drainage
I have stayed here before. The experience this time was not the same. My room was quite small. The bathroom felt cramped (the bathroom was directly against the bed). the shower design resulted in water all over the floor. This was quite annoying.
